The romanesque chapel dedicated to S. Symphorien at Marly sur Arroux

The association for the preservation of the chapel is restoring some recently discovered 15th century murals in the interior of the chapel, situated on the domed interior surface of the chancel. The chapel is open to the public and is listed in tourist guides to the region.
Besides preserving the chapel, the association has wider objectives such as : the preservation of local antiquities and to support and contribute to the life of the village of Marly sur Arroux;
The association is a member of REMPART (a French quasi-state organisation dedicated to preserving the architectural heritage of France),
and is also a member organisation of “
La fondation du patrimonie” (another quango-type organisation similarly dedicated to preserving the architectural heritage of France).
